Allo to all!!
Today marks the half way point in the MTC, and I am loving it!! The Romanian language is so beautiful, and I am seriously falling in love with it. The grammar and such is still hard, but it will come with time. I think I've finally got the weird R rolling down though haha. In the MTC, we have investigators (right now Sora Cutler and I are teaching Maria and Ion) and TRC (teaching resource center). In TRC, we get to teach a lesson to RM's from our mission!! We had our first one last Thursday, and it was super fun. Our favorite day though is Sunday. This week's speakers were Richard Heaton (one of the people in charge of running the MTC), and David Evans of the Seventy and his wife! They talked about prayer, work, and obedience. It was a good reminder to me that the keys to success in being a missionary (and in life) are these three things!! One of my favorite quotes was "Elder/Sister up!!" (As opposed to cowboy up... haha.) They also talked about the story in the BOM where Ammon, a missionary that went to teach to the Lamanites, ASTONISHED the people by his FAITHFULNESS. I know that we are capable of doing the same!
We are all very excited for next week, when the general authorities will be here to train all the new mission presidents and their wives. Only one elder in our branch made it into the choir that is singing for them, but we are super excited for him!! He had to change missions, because the place he was going to go didn't get enough visas for all the missionaries. He is now going to Italy, and he has been such a good example to me of going where the Lord wants us to go!
Funny story from this week.. we were studying in our classroom last night with Fratele Frandsen (one of our teachers). A moth flew into the room from outside, and all the sisters started freaking out!! F. Frandsen stopped talking about subjunctive verbs mid-sentence when he saw it, paused for a moment, and then PUNTED THE MOTH. RIGHT OUT OF THE AIR. ONTO ME. It landed on my desk, and we all just sat there in shock. He had told us that he was a soccer player growing up, but we didn't know he was that good!! It was way funny. Forever referring to it as "the moth incident" haha.
The only other excitement of this week has been moving to the newly renovated building on the other side of the MTC; our whole branch (Italy Rome, Italy Milan, and Romania/Moldova), is all together on the fourth floor! It's going to be a party for sure.
I love you all tons and hope you have a great week!!
